Commend our brothers and sisters to the Lord in prayer.
Prayer is one of the most powerful ways we can support others. Joining together in prayer for the living and the dead entrusts all of us into God's care.
Attend mass on both All Saints and All Souls Days.
Request a mass intention for a friend or family member who is going through a tough time.
Take communion to a homebound parishioner.
Attend one of the special masses our Catholic cemeteries hold on Memorial Day and All Souls Day (2018: May 28, 10:00am, at our Catholic Cemeteries: Mt. Calvary & Gethsemani).
Advocate for the unborn.
Advocate for an end to Physician Assisted Suicide.
Keep your own book of prayer intentions, writing down the names of those who you are keeping in your prayers.
REFLECT AND FOLLOW-UP: The work of mercy isn't finished when the activity ends. Spend time in prayer, reflecting on where you saw and experienced the love and mercy of Christ. If you did an activity with a group, follow-up with others in that group and share insights or observations. This is a chance to grow in faith - and mercy! - together.
